I'm dying over here

Today, I would like to talk about my suffering and miserable junior life. SAT and AP tests are coming up, and I receive lots of stress. You cannnot sleep well, you cannot eat well, and you cannot study well, since you are spending lots of energy only in concentrating.

I take SAT on May 7th, and then, 3 days after, I take those AP exams. Moreover, I also have to do online courses... I mean, everybody knows that junior are simply SUFFERING. When I was an elementary school student, or even, a middle school student, I didn't even know how hard it would be to do a high school junior or senior student. I hope that everything will just end right away. No finals, no SAT, no AP exams...

Sometimes, I think that I'm just trying to escape from the reality, not facing the real situation and not fighting back. I know it's hard to do it: I mean, who LOVES to study?

Furthermore, I feel sorry for the teachers who have juniors in their classes. I mean, they all know that AP tests are coming and that students are just staying up late to study. Some teachers just don't care how exhausted students are, but some teachers just cannot say anything because they see how students tries hard to actually open their eyes and stay awake and "function" in class.

Trip to Yang Pyong (・Ω・)ノ!!

Last Thursday, I went to the school field trip, to Yang Pyong. I thought that it would be kind of boring or dangerous, because on every school trip, I end up with lots of scars or some happenings. For example, when we went to Nam I Island in 2009 fall, I fell off from the bicycle and got a huge scar on my knee. ┌┤´д`├┐It hurted so much, so I really don't like going on school trips since then.

Anyway, this school trip was different. I was junior the day before, but on that day, on that only day, I just wanted to be a common teenage girl who enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends (´ ▽`).。o♪♪ .  We made the tofu, rice cakes, and picked strawberries.

Tofu "liquid" tasted like the milk that passed the expiration date. It tasted funny.(*'へ'*)

(Seems like drinking Soju to me)

Yeah! Journalism Class!
Stephanie, Jessie, Monica, Ecllid(right behind Monica), and Mr. Cornman :)

While many other students enjoyed their time with friends, to me, this trip meant something else. This was my last trip with Jessie. Jessie is a senior, and it is the last semester to her in this school; therefore, it's the last trip with her to me. Jessie is like an older sister who takes of me. Since I'm the only child in my family, I've always wanted to have an elder sister or brother. When I came to this school in 2009, Jessie took care of me in the dormitory: she listened to my complains, worries, and sometimes, gave life advice to me.

3 Beauties: (from the right) Monica, Jessie, and Steph

This trip also gave me the opportunity (?) to get some cool photos that will remain in my life like a precious memory when I grow up. I like taking pictures, but sometimes, if I hold a camera, I'm not gonna be photographed by others, so I just simply ask others to take pictures of me. I like to take pictures and to be taken pictures by others ゚+.(・∀・).+.

I think it's alright to be sometimes crazy :)

Didn't know that Mr. Stewart was so funny! (ノ≧∀≦)

Anyway, I really enjoyed this trip. It will be ended to my memory! Maybe, in the future, I can show my future husband or other friends and tell how I was in 2011, what I did in Yang Pyong, and how much I enjoyed that time!

Do you agree that friends have become more important than family?

I don't quite agree that friends have become more important than family. I think that family was, is, and will be the most important thing to us. Family is the most loyal supporter of you, knows you better than anyone else, and have this "invisible" connection with each other.

Firstly, your family is your most loyal supporter. It is true that family provides you food, educaiton, shelter, and clothing, but it is also true that it supports you whenever you are in a difficult situation. Even though you had committed a crime, your family will be ready to do everything to help you: it can advise you what to do, forgive you, or help you to escape from that situation. Family supports you and truly helps you in a difficult situation.

Secondly, you lived with your family throughout your life; thus, you know your family, and family knows you well. Your parents, your sisters or brothers know what you like, what you hate, what you are afraid of, what your favorite song, place, or book is , or how many times you fell from your bed while sleeping. Sisters and brothers grew with you; therefore, they shared the same experiences: they understand you and appreciate you more than anybody else.

Lastly, there is an "invisible" connection between your family and you. We are all connected with the common family name, share same blood, and look similar to each other. We trust them, and they trust us. Family does not just provide us shelter, food, or clothing - we need someone we can come back to , our home, our family. We need our family, and the family needs us too. Therefore, there are more than friends; I think that family cannot be ever compared to friends.

Friendship

Friendship is very fragile, so one has to be always careful whether it breaks or not. Friends... People use the word "friend" to describe someone who is always with you, shares same feelings with you, and have common things with you. But, for me, friends are different. They are more than that definition.

A friends to me is someone who can cry with you together, walk under the rain together than giving you an umbrella, and hug you when you have sad eyes rather than asking what is wrong.

My friend Seo Jin (with a big ribbon @ her head)

When I came to this school, I was teased by other girls that I ask too many questions to teachers and pretend to be the "best" student. When I was sophomore, almost all girls in my age, just hated me: they just sweared at me and thought that I was not going to be hurt by it. I thought that my friends also would turn from me: because that's how "friends" in books, TV serials, movies, or in dramas do.

However, they were different: when I cried alone, they came to me and hugged me, and listened my cries. They were lights to me: they directed the "darkness" in my heart into a bright new world.

Monica and Yeji♥

What they have done to me was a risk, a challenge to other girls. I really appreciate it and sometimes feel sorry for them: they also have to be hated by other girls. Then, one of them said to me: "Don't say "sorry" so often. Say "thank you." That sounds better, Steph!" After I heard that I cried and cried.  Now, 2 of them left: one left abroad to study, and one is preparing for the university now. But, another friend, my "bestie" is here, in my school, with me.

Monica ♥

I don't know how I'm thankful to her. It's just hard to describe: both of us prepare to go abroad to study as the university students; both of us attend the same high school; both of us like same books; both of us share common hobbies - it's just... we have so common things; we share so much things, that for me, she became part of my family... :)

I don't know how I could have been in this school without her when I was in sophomore.

I don't like to think about complicated things.

The memories shared with you are the biggest parts in my life
The time spent with you was the longest time in my life
Things we shared together are the most valuable things, the treasures in my  life
The memories share with you cannot be compared to anything in this world
So thank you very much for being my friend.

Places I want to visit [imaginary places in the movies]

Sometimes when I watch movies, I imagine myself as the main character and visit those imaginary cool places, but unfortunately, it only happens in my dreams. So today, I arranged places that I want to visit once (if they exist!!!).

UP 2009

When I watched this movie, I always wanted to travel in the flying house. When I was like seven years old, I dreamer traveling with an umbrella as I watched the Mary Poppins movie : ) In the house with lots of balloons, I don't have to make any reservations in hotels or worry about plane tickets. Things you only need is food, money to buy more stuffs as you travel, and appropriate clothes for the climate of the area you are going to land in ^_^.

Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium (2007)

In this place, everything comes true. The toys move lively; walls talk, and the owner, Mr. Magorium recommends the right toy for the right person. Toys in this place, also have feelings, so if they become upset, they show it to the people: walls darken, teddy bears cry, and small soldiers could fire bombs at you :D ! It would be nice to buy one bunny from here.

Beauty and the Beast (1992)

Every girl dreams of meeting her own prince in her dream. Belle was lucky to meet an enchanted prince and actually fall in love with him. In this castle, I can meet moving pots, candle sticks, and even a gigantic library, all full of books, and books would fly to meet to read them. ♪(ノ´∀`*)ノ

Peter Pan (2004)

Neverland! I've always dreamed of visiting this place. I could stay here how much I want and never become an adult. To say the truth, I'm afraid of growing up. Well, I'm already 16, but I'm really afraid of becoming an adult, entering the society, and getting worried about job, money, and my life. In Neverland, I don't have to worry all about this: just travel through fluffly pink clouds, meet Mr. Hook, and hang around with Peter Pan and visit the Indian tribes with him.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005)

Wow! If I visit the Chocolate Factory of Willy Wonka, I will travel the Chocolate Waterfall, drink hot chocolate directly from the chocolate river, and listen to the songs of Oompa Loompa tribes ☆ミ(o*・ω・). I will also try a 3-flavored gum: first, you taste a mushroom soup (you feel the hot mushroom soup from the throat - it's like you are really swallowing it), then, you feel a meat stake and vegetables, and as the dessert, you will taste a blueberry pie. Um... Delicious!

Inception (2010)

The place where you design the world, the place where you built all the dimensions - through Inception, everything is possible. It was like magic how streets fold around, and cars run upside down. When I laid down, I always dreamed of walking on the cell. In this movie, I can also fall asleep inside the dream: inside, inside, and inside. But I think I should be carefull: I can lose my consciousness and be trapped between the reality and the dream : )

The Little Mermaid (1989)

I always wanted to swim around Under the Sea ♬  As Ariel did, I can also meet my prince Charm and become a queen. My dear Sebastian will guide me through this world and make sure that I will not meet a sea witch - Ursula.

Unforgettable April 1st Day!

During my spring vacation, I met with my 3 friends: Monica, Yeji, and Susie. Yeji and Susie are friends who attended our school but quite lately: Yeji decided to go to the Philippins, and Susie decided to go to Korean college. Anyway, since we didn't see each other for about six months, Monica and I were very glad to see those two. ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

As soon as we arrived at COEX, we ate lunch, and Yeji and I thought that it tasted somewhat funny 「(゚ペ). Then, we walked through the COEX and shopped: the accessory shops were my STYLE!!! There were large rings, bracelets, bags, and cosages. (*・∀・)/♥\(・∀・*) I think that it is always fun hanging out with your besties!

Anyway, after the shopping, we decided to take a picture or "PRIKURA." These pictures are like stickers so that you can stick them wherever you want. Since there 4 people, it was quite difficult to move around the small space but we succeeded taking pictures, and I think it looks gorgeous!

Susie, Steph, Yeji, and Monica @ COEX

And then, their plans began. Susie suddenly asked me whether I want a blind date. So, for the curiosity I said "YES," and she called someone and asked him to come to our place as quickly as possible. Monica told me that "HE" was friend of Susie and her, and "HE" was 5.9 ft all, quite handsome and cool guy. I really became excited, even nervous by thinking of meeting him! ☆ミ(o*・ω・) We moved to the Baskin Robbins and decided to wait for "HIM."

We ordered ice creams, and I became more nervous. (^▽^*) "HE" texted Susie that he looked through my facebook and actully said that I'm pretty.///////
I became more and more excited and anxious. After few minutes, Susie and Yeji went out for girl's room, and then, Monica also followed them. Monica texted me that "HE" will come after 3 minutes.

And 3 minutes passed. Five minutes passed.... Nobody came... I started to panic and called Monica. (I thought that he was @ the wrong place.) (●´・△・`)Monica picked the phone:

"Baby, what day is today?"

"Um... isn't it friday?"

"No, not what day of the week, but what day of the year?"

"Well, it's April 1st, and...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"(゜∇ ゜) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

WOw.....
WOW.....
It was so unexpectable, and I was just astonished with their prank. ( ̄ ̄|||) Later, Susie, Yeji, and Monica joined me and told me how they planned this. WOw... Unbelievable...

That evening when I came back, I thought it was very funny and unforgettable experience. Though my besties played this funny prank on me, I don't HATE them. In fact, I appreciate them that at that moment, I was nervous and my heart pumped to meet him. I appreciate Monica, Yeji, and Susie for giving me this valuable and unforgettable memory of April Fool's Day (人´∀`).☆.。.:*・ !

Monsters Inc. (2001)

Along with Toy Story Series, Finding Nemo, UP, Wall*E, the movie that I enjoyed the most was the Monsters Inc. (2001).

Movie Title: Monsters Inc. (2001)
Type of movie: family, animation, comedy
Actors: Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Mary Gibbs

I first watched it when I was only at 1st grade. I was full of dreams and imagination, and after the movie had finished, I really thought that Monstropolis (the city where all the monsters live) existed in the world.

(Actors <voices>/characters)

As always, PIXAR showed us an original plot with strong, amazing actors, and wonderful graphics. I really enjoyed the story of this movie. Monsters Inc. is the company in the Monstropolis where monsters work to generate energy by scaring the children. Even though monsters scare the children, these creatures are actually afraid of children: they even afraid of touching them or their properties (such as socks, toys, or bed). The monsters regard the children as "radioactive" creatures. It was kind of funny when the CDA (Child Detection Agency) removed all the hair (or I should say fur XD) from the orange monster because it had the child's socks at his back.

James Sullivan is the TOP Star employer (TOP scarer) of the company and is responsible for the baby entering the Monstropolis. Sulley and his friend Mike Wazovski begin their "dangerous" adventure to return this baby girl to her room (the human world) and, meanwhile, they realize friendship toward this girl.

The story is original; it is unique. I think that there wasn't any movie that could be compared with it in the story. When I was young, I really liked how monsters loved Boo (the young little girl from the HUMAN World) and took care of her. The other day, I downloaded it and wathed it again. I always felt it was new and fresh! Now, I feel that those monsters from Monsters Inc. are better than humans: they have innocent heart and know how to take care of each other; they learn to love and break the prejudice that children are actually dangerous.

In the middle of the movie, the movie shows how Sully, Boo, and Mike take an adventure through the doors to find the appropriate door for Boo. God, I always wished to be Boo at that moment: sliding over thousands of doors like riding the roller coaster!

Of course, as all children movies, Monsters Inc. also has an antagonist. The purple angy-looking lizard Randolph always thinks Sully as the rival and wants to defeat him. He cheats, swindles others to win. Eventually, when he realized that Sully was the one who's responsible for bringing Boo into Monstropolis, he does anything to block their way of returning Boo back home. But, as we know, the good always defeats evil, so we can predict that it will be a happy ending.

Overall, I think that this movie is worth of 5 stars. Good plot, wonderful actors, and amazing graphics! I recommend to watch this to those who want to return to their childhood or want to escape from this dull, everyday routine life. Monsters Inc. really made my heart warm: seriously, I was toched by it...

P.S. Even though, this movie is 10 years old, it is always original for me. Furthermore, many fans expected PIXAR to make several series of it but it didn't. However, on MARCH,2011, PIXAR declared that they are working on the Monsters Inc.2 : Monsters University that would be released in 2012!!
